eBook
I created an eBook in my IT class the other day, and I am so glad I got introduced to this amazing tool. I got to create any story I wanted. This allowed me to have the story have any point I want and teach my students a specific topic or content. I am definitely going to use eBooks in my classroom. I would either create a book in order to teach my students a certain topic like adaptations of animals or the life cycle of a butterfly. I could also have my students create their own eBook. I would have them create a book that would teach me what they know about a certain topic, like the life cycle of a butterfly. This could be a summative assessment that would be fun and engaging for them to do.
I used the site "Story Bird". I really liked using this site because the illustrations were phenomenal but I disliked that you could only use one artists' work. I also did not like how long it took for publishing and moderation took, but i did love the outcome of my story. Overall I am glad I was introduced to the concept of eBooks and will definitely use them in my future classroom, maybe just using a different site.

Let's Make a Movie!!
In my IT class, I made a movie about a project I want my students to complete. Although this was a stressful thing for me to complete, I feel students would have more fun exploring everything that iMovie has to offer. This an easy way for students to see an example and then know what is expected as far as the project goes. This also allows the students to be as creative as they would like. I am going to try to get a hang of making movies because I do think using movies for examples is a great idea. I definitely want to use i Movie in my classes and I also would like my students to learn how to create movies as well. I also think that I would use this as a final project for certain concepts that my students are learning about. This will allow me to see what they know and to show me their understanding. It's a fun way to express their knowledge and you don't have to force them to do it! Before having my students just get this whole movie things thrown at them, I think I will have a day or two to show them how to make a movie and have them explore the movie app and settings. Before the students get started on a movie I would also have them make out a plan like i did above my movie. This makes the students plan out what their movie is going to be about and how it will be set up. This will help them with organization skills. Overall mapping out ideas and making a movie about their ideas will all be incorporated into my classrooms as I see it will benefit my students.ISTE Standard: Design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessment.

My podcast!
This is the podcast I made. I recorded a story so that everyone could hear it. I would most definitely use podcasts in my classroom. I could use it to upload lessons or just record a story so they can hear it. This would work especially well for students who are absent or are struggling with comprehension of a text and need wither listen to the story or re listen to the story. I like the idea of not worrying about a child missing a lesson or not understanding a story the first time. Using podcasts can allow students to listen to the story or lesson repeatedly or listen to it if they were absent.

QR code quest!
Today we had created a QR code quest for students to do for different stations. I think this was a fun thing to learn about. I will definitely use QR codes in my class when having stations. All five of these quests pertain to science and are all fun and interactive activities about ecosystems. I would share this quest as a worksheet for my students to complete. Each station would be 10 min long, and there will be five stations. This worksheet may not be able to be completed in one day. May need more than one day for this. I am very proud of the quest I created and I think you all should check it out!

Games in Education
This game is great because I can use this for having my students sort animals based off of where they are in the food chain as well as sorting thing by living and non living. This is a fun and competitive way for the students to group alike things in different ways. The directions are kind of hard to read. Partners are supposed to group the words into two categories, once they have done that, another group tries to re group those words in a different way and so on until no groups can re group those words. I think this is a great game and could be created on Ipads or on a smart board for the whole class to play with.
I love this game because it allows students to create food chains with different organisms and gets harder when you start to get a hang of it. I would definitely incorporate this into my classrooms by allowing students to use this app during their free time or during scince. It allows them to excel at making food chains and better understand them. This would ideally be for a fourth grade science class but could probably be used for third grade as well.ISTE Standard: Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments
